Possible bug exporting to csv with merged cells

I used the following code (C++) to export to csv a grid where the title in cell 0,0 is merged across all columns in row 0.

  SourceGrid::Exporter::CSV^ csv = gcnew SourceGrid::Exporter::CSV;

  csv->Export(this->grdHoursWorked, writer);

where the title in cell 0,0 is merged across all columns in row 0 using ColumnSpan as follows...

  myHWGrid->MaxSpan=myHWGrid->ColumnsCount;

  myHWGrid[0, 0]->ColumnSpan = myHWGrid->ColumnsCount;

The result is that the contents of cell 0,0 are replicated across all cells in row 0.  As a work around, I expect I can undo the merge, export the file, and then redo the merge.  btw, IMHO this is an extremely high value project.  i will be looking for ways to help.  Thanks sincerely.

What result do you expect instead?

After all, CSV is a tabular data, it does not support spanning.

We could also make that exporting into CSV the value of the first cell that is merged is written, while other cells (which are spanned) contain null.

just as you suggest...A1 filled with contents and rest blank or null.
You have a fine fine product.
